Karla Hillam – LEADING LADY Karla is an actress and singer originally from Wagga Wagga NSW. She has appeared on hit TV shows such as Offspring, Wentworth and The Warriors as well as spending plenty of time on the stage. Karla has toured the east coast of Australia with theatre company Brainstorm Productions, toured Australia and NZ with the debauchery of The Divine Miss Bette the smash hit cabaret for Neil Gooding Productions, appeared as Missy in the premier Australian production of The Marvellous Wonderettes at 45 downstairs and as Sunny Jacobs in the critically acclaimed, Australian premier of The Exonerated Sol III company. She is also a member of Latino cabaret sensation Los Nachos Trios! which won the People’s Choice Award for Short + Sweet Cabaret Festival in 2013 and went on to play the Spiegel Tent for the Ballarat Cabaret Festival and the Noosa Arts Theatre for the Noosa Long Weekend Festival. Karla recently premiered her brand new cabaret Ugly Duckling at Melbourne Fringe Festival and appeared as Catherine in The Memory of Water at Chapel Off Chapel. She has a Bachelor of Music—Performance majoring in Voice from Box Hill Institute and she has studied acting with Richard Sarrell at The Rehearsal Room in Melbourne and Wendy Ward at The Acting Studio in the US.
