National Boys Choir of Australia Elementary Junior Showcase

The NBCA Training Choir Showcase is an evening celebrating the learning journey of the Elementary and Junior Choirs. It marks an important milestone in their musical development where each choir will sing repertoire that is assisting them to develop their individual music skills and as a chorister.

The elementary training choir is the first year of training for our young boys.

Weekly, the boys have been learning the basics of melody and rhythm. The Junior training choir is the second year of training for our young boys, and part of the preparation to pave the way to graduation into the Performing Choir.

These boys have continued to develop their melodic singing and harmony skills. Each chorister sings many exercises building vocal technique and vocal stamina with exploration around intervals, matching pitch and learning rhythmic patterns.
